Hey Check Out This New Band!

Here is the original video for "Hey Jude". Best coda in rock n' roll history; Macca made it so long as a 'fuck you' to the radio dj's for cutting songs short. No one cuts short the Beatles!

Full Eklips

This dude is the epitome of all beats rolled into one vocal performer. Check the wild performance for the Trace magazine.

Excuse Me While I Crash My Car

Oh goodness gracious. Just in time for the Back to The Future rave being throw by our good friends BAD.A.S.S. Raves, (Feb 5th, Holler at me if you want info) Hot Pink Delorean just dropped their new single, "Club Crashers." This song kicks so hard, you might want to take caution where you listen to it. In the words of Andre 3000, you might "crash into a ditch." Wait for the drop around 2:00 in, you won't be disappointed.

Leroy Jenkees vs. Known Beatmasters

This Elton John Rainman lookalike is a keyboard beatmaster and a new viral sensation. Thing is this dude has two released CDs of some pretty clutch tunes. Check the vid:

Question is, can this dude hang with the beatmasters of our day or the myriad of other old schoolers and inbetweeners who rock MPCs and keyboards?

Jamming 101.

Do it from the heart.
Susan Tedeschi sings on this strong Joe Cocker ballad. Her husband Derek Trucks playing a mean guitar a la slide. Last but most certainly not least Herbie Hancock on piano. The rest of the ensemble I cant name, but they're all giving just as much energy as they can muster. The breakdown in the middle includes Herbie Hancock v. Derek Trucks trading solos.
The best music comes from the atmosphere which surrounds it. If that doesn't make any sense yet, by the time you're halfway through this video you'll know what I mean.

Herbie Hancock e Céu

Kid in my Portuguese hooked it up with this girls CD.
She's a killin vocalist and quite the babe.

Here she's singing with the legend Herbie Hancock tickling the ivory's

Okay, So I Was Wrong

If any of my unfathomably loyal readers remember, quite recently I called "Everyday" by Rusko the track of 2011. That may or may not have been slightly premature. I'll admit, it's probably going to be my song of the year, but this one is going to top the charts, no doubt.

I'm sure all you remember the track we 'raved' to back in middle school.... "Sandstorm" by Darude. Love it or hate it, its impact was preposterously widespread. Fast forward a decade to 2011, EDM is on a meteoric rise. Along comes one of the nastiest producers out there, Vaski, who decides it's time to bring the old beast back to life. While it's not technically released yet, may I present to you...

Darude - Sandstorm (Vaski Remix)

(P.S. This was a leak, and I'm being naughty by posting this. If anyone wants it down, email me, etc. Hell, the youtube video might not even be up tomorrow.)

Cuban Cars

When the US Embargo began cutting america off to Cuba, it didn't just mean the Cubans were losing our money from tourism and trade, but also that the flow of ideas was cut off. One of the biggest exports of America is swagger. Here, that comes in the form of cars. These are pictures taken in Havana and Matanzas.

GO RAMS!!!!

THIS POST GOES OUT TO THE VCU B-BALL TEAM GREAT WIN OVER ODU !!!!

Pick Your Potion

Me and OP both prefer Slytherin. Water you thinking?

DJ Who? DJ Kue.

Everybody heads up on this one. DJ Kue is fresh to the (electro) house remix scene, putting out two RIDICULOUS songs like these in the past two months alone is preposterously impressive. I cannot stop my head from bouncing to these two.

First is a remix of the song that took Wiz Khalifa from East Coast heads to a national audience, Black and Yellow. Be sure to play this at your next shindig/banger/animal house.

Wiz Khalifa - Black and Yellow (DJ Kue Remix)

Hawk doing some light reading

And in bird watching news this week….
A Hawk gets into the Library of congress and causes quite a kerfuffle.
It's a Cooper's hawk.

Can you find the hawk?

wooty = white gurr with a booty

Oh Hi, Rusko.

I've been waiting for this track ever since Rusko let a sample slip in his 'Live - November 2010' Mix that's floating around on the internet. This song is gonna be the hit of 2011, doubt me not. Ignore the radio commentary at the end of the track, as soon as this gets actually released, you'll hear it here first. Oh my goodness, THE ARPEGGIOS.

In the meanwhile, Rusko - Everyday.

Turn your subs up for this one.

On this date.

Today in 1968, Johnny Cash made a powerful statement to the men in San Quentin.
I walk the line is one of the best Blues Ballads of all time and the Inmates know it.
He's singing right to them

'For you I know I'd even try to turn the tide
Because you're mine, I walk the line'

(song starts at 1:20)

Vibrations? Well Ain't That Special

So I have posted previously about some technology that will eventually become a reality all over the world. I chanced upon these two videos and I'm astounded.

This is the UK club, SMACK. Definitely one of the freshest rooms I have ever seen. Hopefully, I can make the trek out to the lonely island and see what's grapes. The room doesn't seem that big, but it's only a matter of time before humongous rooms get this triptastic covering.

Sidenote: The LED lights are extremely ecofriendly and are also not prone to overheating.

This video is the shit. There's already two locations in Rotterdam and Amsterdam that have the piezoelectric dance floor. Check out this ecodance philosophy, it's a pretty cool idea.
